Hibiscus Hospice provides free of charge, palliative care and comfort to people affected by life limiting illness – and support for their families during the period of illness and beyond.

Our aim is to compassionately assist patients and loved ones make the most of their remaining time together and to achieve the best possible quality of life.

We offer both at-home and in-patient based care, volunteer home help, loan equipment, counseling, social work and chaplaincy services, along with a variety of social and support groups.

Following the World Health Organisation's guidelines for palliative care, the NZ Palliative Care Strategy and the NZ Cancer Strategy for Palliative Care, Amitabha Hospice Service offers free practical home help and compassionate companionship.  Services are for the elderly and people with a life limiting illness of any age and their families with specially trained and supervised caregivers throughout the greater Auckland area.

Based on principals of love, integrity, equanimity and service, each family member and staff member is accorded equal respect and compassion with regard to their individuality and uniqueness as members of the larger universal human family. Mercy Hospice Auckland provides a range of specialist community palliative care and hospice services for people facing life limiting illnesses, caring for them with the utmost professional skill, compassion and quality of service. We also offer support to family, friends and carers to help them cope with problems arising from the illness and to rebuild their lives afterwards.

All our services are offered free to patients and their families, regardless of age, ethnicity, means or religion, thanks to the generosity of our community.

We support people living in the Auckland District Health Board area. This covers Auckland City and the central suburbs from Glendowie in the east to Avondale in the west, Herne Bay in the north to Mount Wellington in the south. Specialist inpatient care is also provided to people from Waiheke and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf. Our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hospice West Auckland exists so people with a life limiting illness in West Auckland and those who care for them experience death as a dignified and compassionately supported process.
Our community Hospice serves a diverse population of 220,000 people throughout greater West Auckland to the west coast beaches, Kumeu and Helensville, and up to the South Kaipara Heads.

At any one time our service delivery teams are caring for more than 180 patients and their families and are available 24/7. Services include community care, day programmes, respite care, complementary therapies, bereavement care, equipment, community education and a wide range of family services.
